Re-manufacture may be a better term for what we do here at CGR.  Every grinder we rebuild is torn down to the bare casting and rebuilt from there.  The slides and dresser assemblies are ground and/or hand scraped to the most precise standards.  The spindles are recoated with new ceramic.  Bearings are hand scraped to match the spindles.  New motors and electrics complete the machine to good-as-new standards.
