Centerless Grinder Repair Servo Grinder Control System GraphicThe Servo Grinder Control (SGC) system provided by Centerless Grinder Repair is an affordable, easy-to-use system designed to maximize both efficiency and quality on the shop floor. The system utilizes an integrated operator interface display and keypad, an electronic handwheel, and several push buttons and selector switches to control the slide assembly and optionally the regulating wheel of most Cincinnati centerless grinders.

Key features of the SGC include:

  • Operable as a Thrufeed or Infeed control via selector switch.
  • Compatible with English and Metric units of measure.

Additional infeed features include:

  • Electronic handwheel (vs. jog buttons) and familiar controls provide for an easy transition from older electro-hydraulic or pneumatic infeed units.
  • Slide positioning resolution of 10 millionths of an inch (0.00025mm).
  • Repeatability guaranteed within 25 millionths of an inch (0.0006mm).*
  • Customizable pre-grind, coarse grind, and fine grind feed rates and regulating wheel rates.

Additional thrufeed features include:

  • Accurate stepping down to 25 millionths of an inch.

  • Bi-directional step approach eliminates the problems associated with backlash and the electronic handwheel makes setting up a simple matter.

* Please note that the guaranteed repeatability refers to the positioning of a rebuilt slide assembly.   Actual repeatability of the ground part is dependent on a number of variables.
